| Welcome to our
website, our nearly tangible home on the Internet. We update once in a
while so stop in anytime and say hi.
Zeerocks started over 10 years ago when 3 guys got together to play a Christmas party on the manufacturing floor of a small Oregon electronics company. We next gained popularity playing open mic at the same company's annual outdoor picnic and quickly morphed into a traditional rock combo arrangement with drums, guitar, bass and (often enough) keyboard. Our greatest contributor, Dan Brantley, formed a popular song playlist and helped walk us painstakingly through many of those early arrangements. In a couple of years we formed into a band with regular rehearsals and list of annual gigs that grew to keep us plenty busy. Special thanks to Danny for all of his time and contributions. Danny still often provides arrangements and music ideas even though he no longer performs with us live. Today Zeerocks is still formed largely out of employees from the same company however we have augmented our line-up with professionals from time to time. If you saw us play at the 2008 Car Show you would have also seen Melanie Rae and Tiffany Carlson , two fantastically gifted local musician, singer and songwriters. Yes they were as much of a joy to work with as they were to listen to. It will be hard to top that gig in the annuls of Zeerocks musicianship. It's the rehearsal season for the 2009 road show and Zeerocks is building a new band. If you know of someone interested in joining please us, let us know. Our band of rowdies has been severely depleted through retirements; both voluntary and involuntary. For those who want to hear us play, We hope to be playing in June at the Annual Solstice party we've played every year. Thanks (in advance) for inviting us back! Many thanks to our fans, the two or three of you dedicated people that always tell us how good we are (Like Annette, hi Annette!). We really appreciate your enthusiasm and persistence. It's because of you we play these gigs and keep our rigorous Spring rehearsal schedule. Because of you we work late those long summer evenings entertaining the troops, hauling our gear all over the planet and living on wolfed hot-dogs behind the band platform.

Here is our disclaimer: Zeerocks is a largely not-for-profit band. We play company picnics for a copier and printer company with facilities in Wilsonville Oregon. We welcome your inquiries if you have a fund raiser or non-profit organization that could use us to support your cause. Click on any of the email buttons to contact us. We would love to hear from you and given a good cause we work for very little if nothing at all. We consider it as being paid what we are worth. And our legal disclaimer: Zeerocks is not responsible for lyrical content of music performed, although uselessly offensive lyrics may be removed from our songs. Heck, we've been known to leave out whole verses so as to not offend anyone. (Or maybe we just forgot?) This is rock and roll and it's all in fun. Zeerocks, although containing professional musicians from time to time, does not profit from the performance of any of the live songs and any impersonation of any artist or their work, living or dead, is in no way intended to mimic or satirize that artist or their work. (We butcher some of these songs so bad you won't even be able to tell who originally performed it anyway.) Furthermore Zeerocks withholds the right to perform music differently every time they play as that's how it comes out anyway. Any audience expectation to follow an artists original arrangement should realistically be ditched. We will do our absolute best while having a good time. That's the Zeerocks promise. Wood has learned "Freebird" on the guitar but please don't ask him to play it. Special thanks goes out to: Jake, who hates us. Annette Schoenborn, who loves us. Many others who really are not sure about how they feel about us and mostly thanks for all the hot dogs. Thanks to: All our past great musicians; Including Dan Brantley, Mike Alden, John Garcia, Brian O'Brian, Gary Lapado, Jave Darvis, Rick Cole, Judy Frauman, Andy Bedford, Dave Noble, Ross Burnett's kid and many more. I would also like to thank Terry Turner,
Val Olson, Carol Hellebuyck, John Norton, and Xerox (the real Xerox that
starts with an X) for the rehearsal space and time to make this project
real and for being great people and a great company to work for. Check out our links page for info on the on-line
music agencies and vendors that support us. One day I will update
that page and actually put it back on the website. |
