Journal entry Saturday July 8th, 2006. We're nearing the ridge top (so it appears) climbing on a beautiful Summer morning on snow fields that have no other foot prints.
Here's an action shot! A self portrait looking back down.
Here we see, for the first time, the pinnacle of Mount Pinnacle poking up to our right. There are still a few trees and lots of snow.
Dave slogs away on the left of picture. We couldn't have asked for a better day.
Now here's a shot of Mount Rainier, this time from higher up the mountain.
We switch back to the East and look, we're really near the top now!
Except for this last snow field. Oops, false summit.
