Dutch Oven Chicken and Rice (10 Inch Oven)

2 cups rice, I've had better luck using instant rice

1 chicken, (or use chicken breasts, thighs etc to approximate weight.)  Most important is to have enough chicken to cover the bottom

1 package dry Lipton Onion Soup

1 can chicken broth

2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Water (or beer works good too if you like it salty)

Put chicken on the bottom in a well oiled DO,  pour rice over that, sprinkle onion soup mix on top of that.  Mix broth, mushroom soup and water (or beer) together, pour this mixture on top of that.

350 degrees for 1 hour. 7 coals on the bottom and 14 on top.

Serves 4 to 6.
