Green River and The Canyonlands National Park
Page 2
Journal entry Sunday, May 20 2007. Sandstone bluffs signal the beginning of our journey into the Green River canyon land.

The river wraps around many geologic features.

We see our first sandstone cliffs covered in desert varnish.

The scenery grows more beautiful and inspiring.

We explore backwaters in the late afternoon, looking for a place to camp.

We find a spot and have to fireman's carry the gear out of the boats in the narrow wash.

But what a beautiful place to make dinner...

..horse around...

...and pitch your tent..

You're going to get lost or something! This is really crazy. Go back home.
