Curt’s Corner is a periodical movie review written by Curt Burbach of Clackamas Oregon .

Shrek 2:

I didn’t like this one as much as the first. It was a lot more “cloak and dagger”, which is why it wasn’t as cute as the first. Still an OK movie, but wait for it to come out on tape or CD. 2 ½ bones out of four.

The Anchorman:

I’m still waiting for Will Ferrell to come out with a blockbuster of a movie, because I think he’s worthy of it. But, this wasn’t it. This film has Mel Brooks written all over it because it incorporates that stupid humor that he is so famous for. Granted, I laughed at the stupidity many times, but the film was still kind of a dud. 1 ½  bones.

Secondhand Lions:

A very cute movie that will make you chuckle. I’m glad I waited for it to come out on CD. Two Bones.

Bad Santa:

I laughed a few times but this movie is just average. Again, I’m glad I waited to see it on CD. Two Bones.

Whale Rider:

The young girl who starred in this was nominated for best actress this last year. I found the story to be quite interesting, as I found myself pondering it at great length afterwards. I’m sure it must have been a good book to read. Anyway, I’m going to give it three bones just for being an enjoyable story, which was told very well.

50 First Dates:

This was a typical romantic comedy (feel good) movie that didn’t really have anything special. However, I did laugh several times which is why I give it two bones.

Along Came Polly:

Yet another “chick flick” that wasn’t anything special at all. I give it 1½ bones for being below average.
