Mount Pinnacle
Journal entry September 2010, Rainier National Park, Washington State USA.
Our base camp was a car camp so every trip starts (unfortunately) with a short drive in Rainier National Park. Some people see the whole park this way and never get out of the car. Then a few years go by and they find out that they can't get out of the car.
It's wet and raining. Below is Myron in his natural habitat:

This trail is an expressway for people on foot. Not only does the sign make it easy to find the trailhead, you can walk nearly 2 abreast the whole way to the first intersection:
On the north west slope of Pinnacle:

Through the very gentle switchbacks I can barely make out the rest of my group in the mist:
